Throughout a distinguished career spanning several decades, he has dedicated himself to improving the lives of children with complex hip disorders, particularly those with neglected and late-presenting conditions. His clinical expertise has transformed outcomes for countless patients and families around the world. In addition to his exceptional clinical work, Professor Hosny has made significant contributions to research, advancing our understanding of developmental dysplasia of the hip and avascular necrosis through a prolific body of scientific publications. His work has helped shape modern approaches to the treatment and long-term management of pediatric hip disorders.
Professor Hosny is also a passionate educator and mentor. Through numerous international courses, instructional programs, and scientific meetings, he has trained and inspired generations of orthopaedic surgeons, helping to elevate the standard of pediatric hip care globally. His leadership has extended across the international orthopaedic community through his service as President of the International Pediatric Orthopaedic Symposium, President of the Middle East Pediatric Orthopedic Society, and Chair of the Pediatric Committee of SICOT.
